Crave’s streaming series 'Heated Rivalry' is moving from digital screens to theatrical projections in Ontario. The six-episode first season will screen in 43 Cineplex theatres across Canada beginning November 6. This expansion includes venues in Burlington, Vaughan, and Toronto.

Tickets for the full marathon are currently available online. Audiences can purchase admission for all six episodes for a flat fee of $24.99. Alternatively, viewers can buy two-episode blocks for $9.99 each. The two-episode screenings are scheduled for November 6, 10, and 11.

The complete six-episode marathon will take place on November 8. A second marathon screening is set for November 17 at 25 locations nationwide. The total run time for the marathon is five hours and 22 minutes. Ontario locations hosting the two-episode blocks include SilverCity Richmond Hill, Cineplex Odeon Ajax, and Galaxy Cinemas Barrie.

Hana Palmer, executive director of global distribution and partnerships at Sphere Abacus, described the show as a global phenomenon. She noted that the series generates strong social media and press activity. Palmer stated that the company is excited to let audiences watch the drama unfold in North America, the U.K., Australia, and New Zealand.

The series is based on the bestselling book series 'Game Changers' by Rachel Reid. It follows rival hockey players Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov. The two characters are the biggest stars in Major League Hockey. Their story involves a secret relationship that develops over eight years.

A news release described the characters as bound by ambition and a magnetic pull. The plot tracks their journey of love, denial, and self-discovery. The narrative explores whether their romantic relationship can survive in a fiercely competitive environment.

Cast additions for the upcoming second season include Emily Hampshire, Edvin Ryding, and Sabrina Jalees. Hampshire is known for her role in 'Schitt’s Creek.' Ryding appeared in '28 Years Later.' Jalees acted in 'Black Mirror.' The addition of these actors signals the continuation of the series beyond its initial six episodes.

Ontario audiences can view the series at various Cineplex Odeon and SilverCity venues. Specific locations for the marathon include Cineplex Cinemas Vaughan and SilverCity Burlington. The theatrical run provides an alternative to streaming for fans of the hockey romance.
