Holiday Gift Guides Feature 30-Disc Kubrick Set and Ari Emanuel Memoir

Variety published its annual gift guide for men on October 28, 2026, listing items ranging from high-end audio equipment to collectible books. The publication highlighted products aimed at specific interests, such as film, music, and coffee consumption.

The guide opened by noting that finding gifts for men can be difficult when their wish lists are either empty or very specific. The editors curated a list that includes designer collaborations, collectible books, and tech gadgets.

One top pick is the memoir Roll the Calls by Ari Emanuel. The book is 432 pages long. Emanuel, who inspired the character Ari Gold on the TV show Entourage, details his career in the entertainment industry from mailroom jobs to top management roles.

For film fans, the guide features two major releases. Criterion released a 30-disc box set containing all 13 Stanley Kubrick feature films and three shorts in 4K resolution. The set includes more than 25 hours of behind-the-scenes footage. Additionally, the first Fast & Furious film is available in a 25th-anniversary 4K remaster. This edition includes Dolby Atmos sound and a retrospective featuring Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez.

Music enthusiasts can choose from several options. A new book titled The Third Eye: Early Photographs features candid shots taken by George Harrison during the Beatles' rise to fame. The Grateful Dead celebrated its 60th anniversary with a cookbook titled Dead in the Kitchen. The book contains more than 90 vegetarian and vegan recipes.

Tech and hobbyist gifts include the Marshall Heston 60 soundbar. This device supports Dolby Atmos and includes built-in subwoofers. LEGO released a 1,478-piece set based on The X-Files. The set recreates Mulder’s office and includes eight minifigures. For coffee lovers, Trade offers subscriptions ranging from three to 12 months, sourcing beans from independent roasters.

Other items on the list include a MasterClass subscription and an Audible Premium Plus subscription. Audible grants a monthly credit for any audiobook and allows unlimited listening to a catalog of content. The guide also suggests comedy tickets from performers such as Dave Chappelle and John Mulaney.
