Anker has introduced a new indoor security camera designed to monitor outdoor spaces from inside the home. The Anker Eufy Window Camera E10 is built to observe yards, driveways, or front porches through a window, shifting the focus from interior surveillance to exterior visibility. This approach mirrors the strategy used by the Wyze Window Cam, which was released nearly a year ago.

The installation process is designed to be quick and simple. The E10 attaches directly to the inside of a window using an included mounting sticker. This method helps to reduce glare and reflections from the glass. Because the camera remains indoors, it does not require the weatherproofing typically needed for outdoor security devices.

The Eufy Window Camera E10 is currently available for purchase at a price of $79.99. It can be bought through Anker's online store as well as on Amazon. This price point is more than double the cost of the competing Wyze Window Cam, which is priced at $34.98. However, Anker suggests that the higher cost is justified by several technical upgrades and additional features.

One of the primary improvements is the video resolution. While the Wyze camera is limited to 1080p, the E10 supports a maximum resolution of 2.5K. This allows for the capture of more detailed video at 15 frames per second with a resolution of 2,688 by 1,520 pixels. The higher resolution aims to provide clearer footage of outdoor activities.

The field of view has also been expanded. The E10 offers a horizontal angle of 105 degrees and a vertical angle of 57 degrees, which is slightly wider and taller than the Wyze model. To accommodate various installation locations, such as windows on upper floors, the camera angle can be manually adjusted. A wheel on the back of the unit allows users to tilt the camera up or down by 25 degrees, ensuring that specific areas of interest are properly framed.

Additional features include color night vision and AI-powered motion detection. The system can send alerts that differentiate between humans, animals, and vehicles, helping to reduce unnecessary notifications. A built-in microphone is also included, though its effectiveness is limited to capturing louder noises due to the camera's position behind the glass.

For storage, the E10 supports local recording to a microSD card with a capacity of up to 256GB. Alternatively, users can choose to push footage to the cloud, which requires an optional subscription service. Anker claims that the physical installation of the camera can be completed in less than a minute.

Despite the quick setup time, users must consider the power requirements. The E10 does not feature a rechargeable battery. Consequently, installers will need to route and potentially hide a power cord to keep the camera connected to a power source, which may affect the aesthetic of the window area.
